VGLUG is dedicated to empowering rural college students through technology education.
As part of this initiative, we conduct weekly training sessions on Python With GenAI and DevSecOps..
Due to the large number of participants, the training is organized into six teams:
- Python & GenAI – Linus Torvalds(Team 1) & Grace Hopper(Team 2): Assigned to Engineering students
- Python & GenAI – Richard Stallman(Team 1) & Aron Swatz (Team 2): Assigned to Arts and Science students
- DevSecOps – Ada Lovelace (Arts) & Bob Thomas (Engg): Comprising both Engineering and Arts students
These sessions focus on practical knowledge of Python, GenAI, DevSecOps, free and open-source tools, and also include social awareness and community engagement activities.

Minutes of the Meeting
Python With GenAI – Linux Torvalds Team & Grace Hopper Team
Session 1:
Students enthusiastically explored the basics of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs)! They learned how real-world concepts can be transformed into code using classes and objects. Everyone participated actively, listened with interest, and completed a small hands-on task to better understand the core OOPs concepts
DevSecOps: Bob Thomas Team
Session 1:
Students eagerly participated in a practical session on Hostname, DNS, and DHCP configurations. They learned how systems communicate in a network and how hostname resolution and IP assignments work. Everyone showed great interest, followed the demos closely, and performed small configuration tasks to understand real-time networking setups.
Session 2:
very first Book Reading session began with great excitement! Students were eager to explore new stories and ideas, and many started reading their chosen books right during the session. It turned out to be a calm yet inspiring beginning to a wonderful habit of learning beyond classrooms.
Special thanks to the VGLUG volunteers —
Vasanthavel, Dilip, Loganathan,Sathish, Vignesh Mathusoothan — for their dedicated support and commitment
to make these training sessions successful.
