Python with AgenticAI Training Session 2026 – Session 9

VGLUG is dedicated to empowering rural college students through technology education.
As part of this initiative, we conduct weekly training sessions on Python With AgenticAI.

  • Python & AgenticAI – Arts(Team 1) &  Arts(Team 2) & Arts (Team 3)
  • Python & AgenticAI – Engg(Team 1) &  Engg(Team 2) & Engg(Team 3)

These sessions focus on practical knowledge of Python, AgenticAI, free and open-source tools, and also include social awareness and community engagement activities.

Python With AgenticAI – (Arts Team1,Team2, Team3) & (Engg Team1,Team2, Team3)

Session 1: Python Collections – Part 2

The session continued with the remaining topics in Python Collections, covering important concepts related to lists, tuples, sets, and dictionaries. Students explored how these collections store, organize, and manage data in Python.

The session included practical examples and problem-solving exercises to help students understand the concepts more clearly. Students actively worked on coding tasks, practiced different collection operations, and explored ways to solve problems using appropriate data structures.

Through these activities, students strengthened their logical thinking, improved their programming skills, and gained more confidence in writing Python programs. The hands-on approach encouraged them to experiment with code, identify errors, and develop their own solutions.

Session 2: Wikisource Part 2:

The Wikisource session continued to introduce students to the world of free knowledge and collaborative digital publishing. Building on the previous session, students explored the process of proofreading and editing digitized books on Wikisource.

Students actively participated in editing book pages, checking the text against the original scanned pages, correcting spelling and formatting errors, and improving the accuracy of the content. This practical activity helped them understand the importance of proofreading in preserving and making historical and literary texts accessible to everyone.

By working directly on Wikisource, students gained hands-on experience with Wikimedia community contribution practices and learned how individual efforts can support a larger open-knowledge initiative. The session also encouraged attention to detail, digital literacy, and a sense of responsibility towards sharing knowledge freely.

Learning Through Practice and Contribution

Both sessions highlighted the importance of learning by doing. While Python Collections helped students strengthen their technical and problem-solving abilities, Wikisource provided an opportunity to apply their digital skills towards a meaningful community contribution.

Students actively participated in the activities, solved programming problems, and continued editing book pages on Wikisource. These practical experiences reflect VGLUG Foundation’s commitment to promoting technical education, Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), and open knowledge through collaborative learning.

Special thanks to Sathish, Dilip, Deepak, Kanimozhi, and Vijayalakshmi, Kathirvel, kesavapriya, Murugan for their support and contribution in making the Python Collections & Wikisource session successful.
